A Dutch man has been found dead in a villa in the Bophut area of Koh Samui.

The body of Marius Van Drunen was found in the bathroom of the single story villa on Saturday morning by his British wife.

Thai media reported Mr Van Drunen worked as a diving instructor at Calypso Diving.

The report said Mr Van Drunen was healthy and scuba dived daily but suffered from diabetes.

Police and rescue workers who attended the scene found no wounds on the body or any sign of a struggle.
