Phuket tour bus sent off-road by tyre blowout

PHUKET: -- A Phuket tour bus run off the busy Thepkrasattri Rd in Thalang after a front tyre exploded in a blowout yesterday afternoon (May 17).

 

No passengers were on the bus at the time and no other vehicles were damaged in the incident, confirmed police.

 

Capt Kraisorn Boonprasop of the Thalang Police was called to the scene, a few hundred metres north of of the intersection to turn off toward Nai Thon Beach, at 2:30pm.

 

Police and Kusoldharm rescue workers workers arrived to find the bus, with Sapkhongsom Tour emblazoned on its side, with minor damage rammed into a rubber tree by the side of the road.
