United States Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and “first daughter” Ivanka Trump on Tuesday presented Virawan “Boom” Mosby with a Trafficking in Persons Hero award for her Chiang Mai-based efforts in combating the crime.

 

Virawan was among award recipients honoured at a ceremony at the State Department in Washington.

 

Her HUG Project last year rescued 30 boys and women from the sex trade and so far this year another 20 teenagers.
