Irate husband attacks wife in hospital bed with knife then scissors - policeman stabbed in chest

Yet more violence has erupted in a Thai hospital.

 

Following a spate of atrocious incidents nationwide Thai Rath reported that yesterday evening a 63 year old man went to visit his 60 year old wife who was in a ward on the third floor of Lampang Hospital, in Thailand's north. 

 

The husband - from Pua, Nan province - was armed with a knife.

 

He was stopped by one of the children of the wife and went away. 

 

However he soon came back this time armed with scissors and went for his wife's neck. She was rushed to ER with a serious wound to her neck. 

 

Pol Lt Uthai Inchai of the Pua, Nan police was also wounded with a stab wound to the chest near his neck after he tried to intervene. 

 

The assailant is in custody following the attack.
